Blogs in Education

Blogs are really important for education nowadays.

Blogs provide a communication space that teachers can utilise with students whenever there is a curriculum need to develop writing, share ideas and reflect on work being undertaken in the classroom. Here  I give you some relevant ideas:

- Blogs can be personal learning networks.
- Blogs can link educative comunities which are far away.
- Blogs are a good way to start learning anything you want.
- Blogs provide innovative ideas and first hand experience
of other educative communities.
- Blogs are modern and attract children to learning.
- Any teacher can design a blog according to his/her students'
necessities.
- All the members of the educative community can participate in
the creation and evolution of the blog.

  1. Hi Rosa, I agree with you that blogs are good for educational purposes, but I don't find them really important. I had never worked on blogs until now, but I find them quite difficult to use. In my opinion are extremely rigid, for example you can't move pictures to your willing, as well as you can't upload pdf, word or ppt files unless you have uploaded them previously to the net. I don't know, maybe it is my fault and what I need is to keep working on them in order to gain experience, in such a way that I can use them when I am a teacher. Good luck with your blog.

  2. Hi, Rosa!

I totally agree with you. Blogging has turned out in a very useful way to create activities, webquest and many other things that can motivate children to learn in class in a different and funny way.

Also, I agree with Merce when she says they may have a difficult use at the beginning, but I think that we can manage them with some practice.

Keep working in this way. See you!

  3. Hello Rosa!

Your blog shows us how to use blogs in education in a correct way. I agree with all the ideas that you have written. The world is changind and teachers have more resources each day. That is the reason why we have to know how to use them in our job in a correct way. I congratulate you for showing us that way.

I think that many teachers that are older than us can have some troubles at the beggining, but from my point of view our job is educate children to live in the world, so we have to follow it.

    Congratulations for your blog!

  4. Hi Rosa!
I do agree with you as my partners do. The usage of blogs is something essential in current education. The point is that some professionals do not know how to use them or think that they are a waste of time; for that reason I consider that continuous formation is something necessary in order to develop the aims that society of information demands.
    Good job mate!
